The Passenger is a novel written by Ulrich Alexander Boschwitz in 1939. It tells the story of a Jewish man trying to escape persecution during the rise of the nazi regime. The book is probably to date the first known narration of Kristallnacht (the Night of Broken Glass), which marks the start of the pogrom against Jews in Germany and Austria in November 1938.
